Press conference at the Ministry

Today, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade with purpose of implementation of the Order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan from 15 September 2011 was held a press conference with representatives of mass media.

This press conference was attended by more than 30 representatives of local and foreign mass media, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, deputy ministers, heads of departments of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions.

At the beginning of the press conference brief information was provided by the Minister on the activities of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the results of socio-economic development of the country in 2016.

Then, in the course of the press conference by the leadership of the Ministry were provided answers to questions asked by representatives from mass media regarding various issues of socio-economic condition of the country.

Also, during the press conference were considered the most important issues of socio-economic development of the country, including the forecast for the economic development, current status of free economic zones, activities of the Working Group on the Prevention of the impact of possible threats to the national economy and the constantly working Commission on import substitution and export development, economic cooperation with foreign countries, in particular with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the possible entry of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Eurasian Economic Union and the relationship with the International Monetary Fund, the process of implementation of the Program for adaptation of Tajikistan's economy in connection with the membership in the World Trade Organization, food security and domestic manufacturers support, production and export of aluminum, issues related to the production of school uniform and children's shoes, the impact of economic development on the social condition of the population and so on.
