Fourth Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan

On July 13, 2017 in Baku, was held the fourth meeting of the Tajik-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation .

The meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, attended by official representatives of the governments of the two countries.

 During the meeting, the co-chairs briefed on the economic development of their countries, reviewed the current state of trade and economic relations, and discussed prospects for the further development of bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries, in particular, expansion of economic ties, strengthening cooperation in industry, entrepreneurship, Including small and medium-sized businesses, in the field of transport, energy, communications and high technology, agriculture, health, science and education, culture and tourism, as well as the development of the legal framework of bilateral relations.

Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, a business seminar was held on the theme: "Investment Climate and Business Opportunities in the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2030", attended by representatives of relevant state And private companies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, presented the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2030, and familiarized the participants with the favorable business opportunities in the Republic of Tajikistan.
