Working trip to Khorugh
In the framework of his working trip to Khorugh, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended commissioning ceremony of the administrative building of the Education Regional Office and the Khorog Department of Education and its subdivisions.
The four-storey building has 42 offices. More than 100 education workers are provided with working office, there is a canteen for 40 people and a dormitory for 40 workers who come from remote areas.
The building features computer room, library, reading room, natural sciences and mathematics laboratory and language learning room.
The subdivision of State Service exercising control in the sphere of education and four subdivisions of the Department of Education, Public organization "Technological center of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region" and “Talent Development Center” is also located at the new building.
The head of state has viewed conditions created here and highly praised the quality of construction work carried out in the facility.
In the morning of September 14, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in a solemn ceremony of the commissioning of the University of Central Asia (UCA) in Khorugh.
Construction of the University of Central Asia's (UCA) campus in Khorugh is carried out on the basis of an international agreement between the Government of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF). It consists of two-storey and three-storey educational buildings.
According to the master plan, the building of university as a whole will be built in three stages on an area of more than 80 hectares. At present, the first part of it is built on an area of about 15 hectares by a high quality level and its education programmes meet global standards. Today we witness the launch of the newly established facility.
While reviewing classrooms and laboratories, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon appreciated the quality of work and the conditions created here.
The majors offered at UCA in Khorugh are Economics and Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Currently the University of Central Asia in Khorugh has 150 students. They are the citizens of 7 states - Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and others.
The University has academic buildings equipped with modern education equipment, computer labs, a fancy leisure and communications facility, administrative buildings, library, various sports playgrounds and other necessary infrastructure.
The courses will be taught in English and its specialists will be trained for the world market.
Teachers and students are provided with a modern hostel. It has an attractive appearance, and in the rooms for living all the necessary conditions have been created.
The University of Central Asia's (UCA) campus in Khorugh was established by direct support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon and will provide basic ground for the Tajik students to train world-class specialists.
In the centre of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region - Khorugh, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has attended commissioning ceremony of the building of the Border Troops Training Centre of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan. He also inspected the working conditions of the Khorugh frontier border detachment activities after reconstruction.
On September 15, 2018 in Khorugh, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a sincere and constructive meeting with the leadership and public active of the region.
The main subject of the meeting was the consideration of socio-economic development indicators of the region, ensuring the rule of law and protection of public order, preparations for autumn-winter period of 2018/2019 and celebration of the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence.
