Press release of the second meeting of the Tajik-Korean Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation
In order to develop relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea on October 5th, 2018 in Dushanbe, the the second meeting of the Tajik-Korean Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation
The Tajik part of the Commission was headed by Mr. Nematullo Hikmatullozoda - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Korean part of the Commission was headed by Mr. Yun Kang-hyeon - Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs.
The heads of delegations made welcoming speeches during which they informed the members of delegations and participants about the macroeconomic situation in their countries, positive steps in implementing economic reforms and their impact on improving the investment climate in countries.
At the meeting, the delegations of both countries discussed issues of current and future cooperation, implementation of joint projects, investment promotion and business development.
The sides stressed the importance of establishing cooperation in such promising sectors as trade, free economic zones, investments, energy, industry, banking, construction, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism and culture, etc.
The meeting was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere; and at the end of the meeting, a protocol of the second meeting was signed by both sides.
