It should be noted that in August 2nd, 2011, amendments were made to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Holidays” which states that April 8th is the Day of Economists in Tajikistan.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon noted the importance of the economic sphere as follows: “In sensitive conditions of modernity, the main task of the state is, first of all, to ensure sustainable economic development, gradually increasing quality of life of the people through the implementation of public administration reform, ensuring the transparency of its organization, to create a favorable climate for business development, investment attraction and import of modern and advanced technology and on this basis creation of new jobs. "

Today it is impossible to imagine the activity of any sphere without economists. Because the contribution of economists to the development of society is significant. Economic development is one of the main directions of the economic policy of the Government of the Republic, aimed at raising the living standard of the population.
