Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade and the Minister of Industry and New Technologies with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Nisar Ahmad Uryoni

On March 30, 2021, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, met with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Nisar Ahmad Uryoni in an atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood in which the expansion of bilateral and multilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries was discussed.

 During the meeting, which was held in an open, friendly and constructive atmosphere, the sides appreciated current level of Tajik-Afghan relations highly, noting that relations at various levels are significantly intensifying.

Within the framework of the high-level meeting between the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon and President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, on March 29 of this year, the sides agreed on the development of foreign trade, including an increase in cement exports to the Republic of Afghanistan and the establishment of joint industrial enterprises in free economic zones, with the involvement of investors from Afghanistan and other interested parties.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to comprehensively expand and make effective use of bilateral cooperation.
