Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Business Delegation of Saint Petersburg
On April 12, 2021, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali met with the business delegation of Saint Petersburg of the Russian Federation led by Marc Ruslan Anatolievich.
Abdurahmonzoda A.S. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon and President of the Russian Federation, Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich, relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level.
It was noted that Russia as one of the main strategic partners of the Republic of Tajikistan, reached 973.6 million US $ of trade between the two countries in 2020.
During the meeting, which was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the sides discussed priority projects for the development of trade and economic cooperation, establishment of joint enterprises in the territory of free economic zones of the Republic of Tajikistan and signing a memorandum between free economic zones and organizations of Saint Petersburg.
At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
