Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani

 

On June 3, 2021, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Republic of Tajikistan and several leaders of large enterprises in a friendly and fraternal atmosphere, in which the expansion of bilateral and multilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries was discussed.

 During the meeting, which took place in an open, friendly and constructive atmosphere, the sides highly appreciated the current level of Tajik-Afghan relations, noting that relations at various levels are significantly intensifying.

Within the framework of a high-level meeting between the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon and President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani, on March 29 of this year, the sides agreed on the development of foreign trade, including an increase in cement exports to the Republic Afghanistan, the creation of joint industrial enterprises in free economic zones with the involvement of investors from Afghanistan and other interested parties.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to comprehensively expand and effectively use bilateral cooperation.
