Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin with the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia of the UN Development Coordination Office, Ms. Gwi-Yeop Son

On February 21, 2022, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia of the UN Development Coordination Office, Ms. Gwi-Yeop Son.

Zavqizoda Z. A. thanked Ms. Gwi-Yeop Son for mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of the goals and priorities of the country.

During the meeting, the sides discussed preparations for the meeting of the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Development Forum of Tajikistan.

It was suggested that the Country Program of the UN agencies for the coming years should take into account the strategic goals and priorities of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the development of the green economy and the digital economy.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the submission of a Voluntary Report to the UN within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, scheduled for 2023.

Ms. Gwi-Yeop Son expressed the readiness of the United Nations and its agencies to assist in the implementation of the country's development goals and priorities and to carry out the above-mentioned activities.
