Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the delegation of the Islamic Development Bank

On January 9, 2023, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Country Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (BIR) Group from Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the delegation of the Islamic Development Bank headed by Emre Eser.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, mutually beneficial cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank is developing every year and reaching a qualitatively new level.

During the meeting, in order to fulfill the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, issues of reconstruction and construction of roads, including the reconstruction and restoration of the Guliston-Farkhor-Pyanj-Dusti road, were discussed.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that the Guliston-Farkhor-Pyanj-Dusti highway is part of the international highway and creates good conditions for access to the roads of foreign countries. This highway is of great socio-economic importance and contributes to the development of passenger and freight traffic, cross-border trade, tourism development, and lower prices for goods and transport services.

During the meeting, issues of financing other priority sectors of the national economy were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the issues noted.
