Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank Group visited the facilities of the Rogun HPP

February 7, 2023 Vice-President of the Islamic Development Bank Group Dr. Mansur Mukhtor after meeting with the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, accompanied by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade / Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Islamic Bank Group Development of Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin visited the Rogun HPP in order to get acquainted with the progress of construction work on the facilities of this HPP.

It should be noted that Tajikistan previously made a request to attract funds from the Islamic Development Bank for the construction of the Rogun HPP, which was supported by this bank.

As a result, the Islamic Development Bank expressed its readiness to finance $250 million in the national economy of the Republic of Tajikistan, including $150 million for the construction of the Rogun HPP.

Under the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, mutually beneficial cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank is developing every year and reaching a qualitatively new level.
