8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Austria on economic cooperation

On March 2, 2023, the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Austria on economic cooperation was held in Vienna.

The Tajik delegation, which included Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Rukhshona Nasriddinzoda, Deputy Minister of Finance Sarvar Qurboniyon, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management Khurshedai Qodir, as well as other representatives of government departments and business circles, was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Sharaf Sheralizoda.

The delegation of Austria, which also included representatives of numerous state structures and private companies of the country, was headed by the Co-Chairman of the Commission, Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Group of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics Franz Wessig.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Austria in the areas of trade and economy, agriculture, industry, transport and construction, energy, healthcare, environmental protection, disaster management and digitalization were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, the Protocol of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission was signed.
