Meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the World Bank delegation led by the Regional Director for Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions

On May 16, 2023, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Salehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid met with the official delegation of the World Bank led by the Regional Director for Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions, Ms. Lalita Murthy.

Salehzoda A. A. noted that under the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, mutually beneficial cooperation with the World Bank is developing every year and reaching a qualitatively new level.

During the meeting, issues of ensuring sustainable and accelerated economic development, achieving strategic goals, increasing the competitiveness of the national economy and reducing the country's dependence on external factors were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to hold at a high level the 30th anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the World Bank, which is expected in June this year, and to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
