The new Cooperation Strategy of Tajikistan and the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) was considered

On May 26, 2023, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) met with a delegation of the Islamic Development Bank led by its Regional Director for Central Asia, Ibrahim Shukri.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, cooperation with the BIR group is developing and the Republic of Tajikistan considers the BIR a reliable development partner.

During the meeting, a new Cooperation Strategy between the Republic of Tajikistan and the IDB group was discussed.

This strategy is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing the country's priority projects for the next 3 years.

It was emphasized that within the framework of the new Cooperation Strategy between the Republic of Tajikistan and the IDB, priority should be given to the sectors of energy, industry, transport, digitalization and the private sector.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
