Participation of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nuriddinzoda Akhliddin Nuriddin at the first e-commerce forum in Central Asia

On September 28, 2023, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin took part and spoke at the first E-Commerce Forum in Central Asia, which took place in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

During his speech, he emphasized that, as noted by the founder of peace and national unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon, the Republic of Tajikistan attaches priority to expanding comprehensive cooperation with the countries of Central Asia in all areas, including trade, industry, digital economy, innovation and modern technologies, transport, energy, agriculture and tourism.

This was of particular importance for the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; in 2022, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Tajikistan with the countries of Central Asia increased by 23 percent compared to 2021, and the share of Central Asian countries in the total trade turnover of the Republic of Tajikistan amounted to 28.2 percent.

This Forum gives the countries of Central Asia a good opportunity to develop new and innovative approaches to the development of e-commerce, taking into account the principles of good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Also, within the framework of this Forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of development of the e-commerce system.

In conclusion, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin expressed confidence that in the future cooperation between Central Asian countries in the field of e-commerce will develop, and wished all Forum participants success in expanding their horizons of cooperation.
