On September 29, 2023, within the framework of the meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Qatar on economic, Trade and scientific and Technical cooperation, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Executive Director of the energy company "Nebras".

During the meeting, Zavqizoda Z. A. informed about the investment opportunities in priority projects of the Republic of Tajikistan, in particular, the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station, and called on the Qatari Energy Company to invest in the continuation of the construction of this large facility.

In turn, Khalid Mohammed Jallo noted that he has information about Tajikistan's energy capabilities and expressed readiness to invest in the construction of the Rogun HPP.
