The Minister of Economic Development and Trade chaired the second round of negotiations related to the consideration of the expanded partnership and cooperation agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union
On November 28, 2023, in Brussels, Belgium, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Head of the Department for Central Asia, the European Commission, Luc Devine, the second round of negotiations took place related to the consideration of the “Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union."
Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that the European Union is a reliable and important partner for achieving the strategic goals of the Republic of Tajikistan, and this agreement creates favorable conditions for an even greater expansion of multilateral cooperation.
This agreement provides for increased cooperation between both parties in priority areas, including economy and trade, investment, green economy, finance, banking, energy, industry, transport and logistics, education and border strengthening.
The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan also included Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sodiq Imomi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Belgium Huseinzoda Muzaffar, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Safarzoda Manuchehr, Head of the Human Rights Department of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Orzuzoda Firuz and Head of the Foreign Economic Affairs Department cooperation of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Dilshod Sharifi, as well as representatives of other relevant ministries and departments of the country took part through the Internet network.
