The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for the European Region

On March 13, 2024, within the framework of the Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals in Geneva, Switzerland, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Z. A. and the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission (UNECE) for the European region, Ms. Tatyana Molchan.

Zavqizoda Z. A. and Tatyana Molchan agreed to intensify cooperation in the areas of development of the “green economy” and the economy of reproduction.

In response to a request from the Tajik side, UNECE agreed to provide technical assistance in preparatory work for the activities of the United Nations Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), which will be chaired by the Republic of Tajikistan in 2024.
