The President of the Islamic Development Bank Group visited the facilities of the Rogun HPP

On June 11, 2024, the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman al-Jasser, after a meeting with the Founder of Peace and National Unity-Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, visited the progress of construction work at the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station, during which he was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade / Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin.

It should be noted that earlier Tajikistan requested to attract funds from the Islamic Development Bank for the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station, which was supported by this bank, and within the framework of the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, a project agreement was signed with the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station for a total amount of 150 million dollars, which, together with the agreed funds of the Arab Funds, amounts to 550 million dollars.

The President of the IDB highly appreciated the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station and shared his positive impressions with representatives of the media.
