The President of the Islamic Development Bank visited a cherry orchard in the city of Hisor

On June 12, 2024, the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Al-Jasser, as part of a meeting with the Founder of Peace and National Unity-Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, visited the cherry orchard in the “Mavlonobobo Shokhoni” dekhkan farm, located in the city of Gissar, during which he was accompanied by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade/Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin.

The garden of the peasant farm "Mavlonobobo Shokhoni" is located on a total area of 8 hectares, mainly different types of fruits are grown here: cherries, plums, apricots and apples.

It was noted that the harvest obtained on this farm, grown without the use of pesticides and mineral fertilizers, will be used to supply the domestic market and partly for export.

During the visit, the IDB President noted that the delicious taste of various types of environmentally friendly cherry fruits growing in the favorable climatic conditions of Tajikistan has no analogues in the world.

It should be noted that on June 11, 2024, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Al-Jasser.
