Participation of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade at the 30th meeting of the United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Commerce

On July 11-12, 2024, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade - Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin participated and spoke at the 30th meeting of the United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Commerce (UN/CEFACT), held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin spoke in the high-level policy dialogue section on the topic “The role of connecting climate and digital trade smart practices, as well as transport corridors to promote regional and global integration and sustainable development” and emphasized the need to improve the ongoing activities of the UN Special Program on the Economy Central Asia (SPECA).

It was also noted that, based on the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, a number of significant works were carried out in the direction of simplifying trade procedures in Tajikistan.

At the same time, at the event, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, as Chairman of the SPECA Working Group on Trade, presented information on joint regional work on trade facilitation and considered it appropriate to strengthen trade and economic cooperation to harmonize them with the norms of the UN Economic Commission for European countries ( UNECE).
