An Agreement on the Transfer of Grant Funds for the Construction of the Sebzor HPP was signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and Pamir Energy OJSC
In order to implement the instructions and orders of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, to attract grant funds to the national economy, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as co-chair of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Federal Republic of Germany, is working.
In accordance with the amendments to the additional Agreement on the transfer of grant funds for the construction of the Sebzor HPP in the Roshtkala district, signed between the German Development Bank (KfW) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (recipient) and Pamir Energy OJSC (project executor), a total of 44.4 million euros in grant funds were allocated by the German Development Bank.
For this purpose, on July 25, 2024, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the General Director of Pamir Energy OJSC Amrikhan Raimov signed amendments to the Agreement on the transfer of grant funds for the construction of the Sebzor hydroelectric power station.
It should be noted that the Sebzor hydroelectric power station was built in honor of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan within the framework of one of the strategic goals of the country's government - achieving complete energy independence and providing the population with environmentally friendly electricity, green energy, which will give a serious impetus to the development of the economy of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
