Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Director of the Japanese International Cooperation Program (JICA) and representatives of the Japanese Volunteer International Cooperation Program (JOCV)

  

On October 23, 2024, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin met with Director of the Japan International Cooperation Program (JICA) in Tajikistan Imai Seiju and representatives of the Japanese Volunteer International Cooperation Program (JOCV) in Dushanbe.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Nuriddinzada A. N. thanked the Japanese side for fruitful cooperation and noted that the Exchange Memorandum on sending volunteers to the Republic of Tajikistan, signed in Dushanbe on August 3, 2023, is a new step in the development of bilateral relations. This Memorandum has opened up new prospects for sending Japanese volunteers to various sectors of the economic and social spheres of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, representatives of JOCV spoke about the conditions for the selection of volunteers, the application process by the applicant country, as well as the process of their work in the institutions of the republic.

Nuriddinzoda  A. N. in connection with the numerous dispatches of Japanese volunteers to the Republic of Tajikistan to carry out activities in priority areas of the country, he invited representatives of the specified program.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
