Discussion of issues of economic cooperation and development of digitalization of the national economy with the European Union
On November 5, 2024, Deputy Minister Nasriddinzoda Rukhshona Hikmatullo met with representatives of the European Union at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The meeting discussed issues of economic cooperation and the development of digitalization of the economy of Tajikistan. The EU delegation was represented at the meeting by the following persons: Peteris Ustubs - Director of the General Directorate for International Partnership, Middle East, Asia —Pacific Region, Karoblis Raimundas — Ambassador of the European Union Mission in Tajikistan, Isabel Uriz — Head of the Cooperation Department, Titiyen Amati — Political Affairs specialist, Miguel Rocha - Political affairs specialist.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the economic sphere and the important role of digitalization in the further development of the economy of Tajikistan. Nasriddinzoda R. H. expressed gratitude to the European Union for its support in the implementation of projects in important economic areas and the development of digital infrastructure and presented Tajikistan's strategic plans in this direction.
The sides stressed their readiness to continue fruitful cooperation and strengthen economic relations. This meeting is an important step in establishing greater cooperation towards the development of digitalization of the Tajik economy and strengthening bilateral economic ties.
