Summarizing the results of the Program “Financing the value chain of the agricultural sector” in the Republic of Tajikistan

  

On November 20, 2024, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade hosted the final meeting of the Program "Financing the value Chain of the agricultural sector" with the participation of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin, representatives of the German Embassy in Tajikistan, the German Development Bank (KfW) and other partners.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Nuridinzada A. N. thanked the representatives of the German government and the German Development Bank for their valuable contribution to this program and noted that under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, the development of agriculture has become one of the priorities of the economic policy of the Government of the country.

It was also noted that the program has supported five microfinance institutions in Tajikistan since the beginning of May 2021, helped strengthen value chains in agriculture and support local small and medium-sized enterprises.

Nuriddinzoda A. N. stressed that the program was able to improve farmers' access to financial resources and ensure sustainable economic development in rural areas. They also expressed their willingness to cooperate in other areas and strengthen cooperation with the German Development Bank.

At the end of the meeting, gratitude was expressed to all partners and participants for their active contribution to the implementation of the program.
