The Minister of Economic Development and Trade took part in the International Jewelry Forum - Exhibition entitled "At the origins of the Oxus treasure"

  

On March 24, 2025, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin took part and delivered a speech at the International Jewelry Forum - Exhibition entitled "At the origins of the Oxus treasure", organized by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies in Dushanbe.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, has always paid special attention to the industrial and innovative development of the national economy and for this purpose declared the accelerated industrialization of the country the fourth national goal.

At the same time, it was noted that Tajikistan has a sustainable development of the national economy, rich reserves of precious metals, cheap green energy, young and competent labor force, a favorable investment climate, and ample opportunities for attracting investment in the jewelry industry.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that in 2024, the total volume of precious metals trade in the world amounted to $360 billion and will increase to $500 billion by 2030. The price of gold in 2024 increased by 38% and amounted to $3,030 per ounce (28.3 g). Representatives of the country's government, the leadership of relevant ministries and departments, the private sector and development partners took part in the work of the International Jewelry Forum - Exhibition entitled "At the Origins of the Oxus Treasure".
