Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the regional leadership of the Islamic Development Bank

  

On May 14, 2025, a meeting was held in Dushanbe between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade/Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Head of Country Operations of the IsDB Group Mr. Ali Khan.

It was noted that under the leadership of the far-sighted and wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the IsDB Group has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years.

During the meeting, Zavqizoda Z. A. discussed the implementation of existing IDB projects in the country and priority projects under consideration, paid special attention to important issues of infrastructure development, energy, irrigation and education.

The parties discussed the implementation of initiatives and proposals noted during the high-level meeting between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, as well as issues of preparation for the annual meetings of the IDB and subsequent interdepartmental coordination.
