Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the newly appointed Director of the German Development Bank in Central Asia

  

On June 3, 2025, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the former Director of the German Development Bank (KfW) in Central Asia Andreas Schneider and the newly appointed Director of the bank Petar Georgiev, who will begin his official activities in Tajikistan on August 1, 2025.

At the beginning of the meeting, Zavqizoda Z. A. expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan KfW for fruitful cooperation and valuable contribution to the socio-economic development of the country and emphasized that thanks to the wise policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan with the financial and economic structures of Germany is constantly developing and reaching a qualitatively new level.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing joint projects in the socio-economic direction of the country and expressed their readiness for their timely and high-quality implementation.

Zavqizoda Z. A. thanked Mr. Andreas Schneider for his worthy leadership and valuable contribution to the development of Tajikistan and the expansion of cooperation throughout his professional career, and wished Mr. Petar Georgiev success in fulfilling new tasks.

Zavqizoda Z. A. also called on KfW to assist in restoring Tajikistan's status in the list of official partners of Germany.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and implement new development projects.
