Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the State Minister for Foreign Trade of the State of Qatar

  

On June 10, 2025, within the framework of the IV International Investment Forum in Tashkent, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the State Minister for Foreign Trade of Qatar Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Sayed.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise policy of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon and the Emir of the State of Qatar, Honorable Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, bilateral relations are constantly developing and have reached a high level.

At the same time, Zavqizoda Z. A., in order to fulfill the instructions of the esteemed Leader of the Nation and fulfill the tasks set by the Government of the country, called for the implementation of 14 priority investment projects and 3 priority charity projects, in particular the construction of an infectious diseases hospital and an emergency medical care facility within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of charitable and humanitarian activities.

In this regard, the parties agreed to implement priority projects and expand bilateral cooperation in such areas as investment, green and renewable energy, processing industry, especially processing of agricultural and mining products, tourism and logistics.

Zavqizoda Z. A. also invited the State Minister for Foreign Trade of Qatar Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Sayyid to make an official visit to Tajikistan at a time convenient for him, which was accepted with pleasure.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
