Presentation of investment opportunities

On 11 November 2016 in the National Library of Tajikistan was held the international Business-forum on economy and investment called "The Pearl of the Silk Road."

This Forum was attended by the Assistant of the President of Tajikistan on economic issues - Farrukh Hamralizoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan - Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade - Gulru Jabborzoda, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan - Nigina Anvari, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tajikistan – Manzura Rustamova, Advisor of the Chairman of the People's Republic of China on security issues – Mr. Chen Guoping, Head of the Cultural exchange centre "Travelling for peace" – Mr. Shao Changchun, as well as representatives from the private sector, both domestic and foreign investors and the subjects of the country’s free economic zones.

At the beginning of the Forum, The Assistant of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on economic issues – Farrukh Hamralizoda delivered an opening speech and then gave the word to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade.

During the meeting, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda stated that in order to revive the Silk Road, Tajikistan is ready to cooperate with all countries, especially with its regional partners, using all the available opportunitites.

It was also mentioned that the implementation of the Silk Road belt will make a significant contribution to the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship in the country. Moreover, this Forum is considered to be the next step for development of free economic zones in Tajikistan, because a wide range of domestic and foreign investors will receive more detailed information on the available opportunities of FEZ.

Then, the participants of the forum presented their reports. In particular, Nekruy Zabirzoda – the Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Toj-Invest" reported about the investment climate in the Republic of Tajikistan, Shohin Sufiev – Main Specialist of the Department of administrating Free Economic Zones of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade presented the opportunities of FEZ of the Republic of Tajikistan, Narzullo Dadaboev – the Head of “Archa” Ltd company reported about the achievements and future steps of this company.

At the end of the Forum, a number of domestic and foreign companies that have made a significant contribution to the development of national economy were awarded by the economic cooperation prize "Silk Road".
