On May 17, 2024, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin became the first Japanese volunteer under the Japanese International Cooperation Volunteer Program (JOCV).

On May 16, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received in the Palace of the Nation the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva.

On May 15, 2024, in a friendly atmosphere, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, and the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Shakkaliev Amin Abaevich.
