Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus

Today, April 5, 2021, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Krupko Ivan Ivanovich.

Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity -Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Republic of Belarus, Lukashenko Alexander Grigorievich, relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level.

   It was noted that Belarus is one of the main strategic partners of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2020, and the trade turnover between the two countries reached US $ 54.4 million, which is $ 25.9 million or 1.9 times more than in 2019.

During the meeting, which took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the sides discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the establishment of joint enterprises for the production of pharmaceuticals, dairy products and the installation of trucks «MAZ» in the territory of free economic zones of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
