Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 23, 2021, on the sideline of the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aripov Abdulla, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kudratov Laziz Shavkatovich.

The meeting reviewed the outcome of the 7th session of the Tajik-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Issues and discussed preparations for the next Commission which will be held in Tashkent in May this year.

The sides also discussed ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic, investment, industrial, energy, transport and agricultural fields, and supported specific proposals for the establishment of joint industrial enterprises.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to further strengthen work in these areas and to take advantage of existing opportunities.
