Address of the Leader of the Nation-the country's development program for the next 5 years
On January 4, 2022, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted an event dedicated to explaining the economic aspects of the Address of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, to the Parliament (Majlisi Oli) of the country dated December 21, 2021. It was attended by the leadership, Chairman of the Committee on Economics and Finance of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Fayzullozoda Mashrab, employees of the central office of the Ministry and the National Patent Information Center.
Opening the event, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin noted that the Address of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon to the Parliament (Majlisi Oli) is the country's development program for the next 5 years, which defines the main goals and prospects for the development of national sectors of the economy. In particular, during this period, economic development of at least 7% will be ensured, more than 500 thousand new jobs will be created, monetary incomes of the population will increase by more than 2 times, the average share of the population will be 45 percent, as a result of which the poverty level will be reduced to 15 percent, and 2022-2026 is declared the "Year of Industrial Development".
Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Finance of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Fayzullozoda Mashrab noted that the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, H.E. Emomali Rahmon plays an important role for the development of social spheres, especially education, health and social protection and through this improvement of the intellectual and human potential of the country.
In the continuation of the speech, it was noted that in the Address of the Leader of the nation, dear Emomali Rahmon, the relevant ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, were given instructions on preventing the impact of possible risks on the national economy and protecting the economic interests of the country, effective and rational use of available opportunities and resources and the search for new sources of economic development, improving the competitiveness of domestic production, attracting investment and implementing innovative technologies. In this regard, the Ministry has drawn up an action plan, and the Ministry's employees with high responsibility will ensure its high-quality and timely implementation.
In this regard, the leadership and all employees of the Ministry with high responsibility decided to focus on the President's Address, mainly by intensifying their activities, making every effort to implement the Action Plan in a high-quality and timely manner.
Then the heads of structural divisions of the central office of the Ministry in the field of macroeconomics, trade and social spheres expressed their opinion on the significance and main points of the Address of the Leader of the Nation.
