Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin with the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Lenni Montiel

On February 15, 2022, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Lenni Montiel.

Zavqizoda Z. A. congratulated Lenni Montiel on her appointment as the Permanent Representative of UNDP in the Republic of Tajikistan and wished her every success.

The sides noted the importance of bilateral cooperation in promoting the implementation of the goals and priorities of the development of the Republic of Tajikistan, the implementation of the Mid-term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025 and the Program of Local Socio-economic Development and Sustainable Development Goals.

It was suggested that the draft UNDP Country Program for 2021-2025 should take into account sustainable development, strategic goals and priorities of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the development of the green economy and digital economy.

During the meeting, the sides discussed preparations for the meeting of the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Development Forum of the Republic of Tajikistan.
