Participation of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin at the first meeting of the ministers responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities "China and the countries of Central Asia"
On April 18, 2023, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin took part in the first meeting of ministers responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities “China and the countries of Central Asia” via videoconference.
Zavqizoda Z. A. speaking at the meeting, noted that with the honor and supreme political will of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, the strategic cooperation of our countries is reaching a high level and includes priority areas.
This meeting was aimed at finding opportunities to stimulate bilateral and multilateral cooperation, increase foreign trade turnover, attract capital, create joint ventures and other areas.
The Republic of Tajikistan attaches particular importance to strengthening multifaceted cooperation with China and the countries of Central Asia.
The People's Republic of China has become one of the main trading partners and one of the largest investors for many Central Asian countries, including the Republic of Tajikistan.
Also, Zavqizoda Z. A. at the meeting presented specific proposals on the development of cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, digital trade, investment, development of transport and logistics, construction of roads and railways, in particular the creation of electric vehicles in the Republic of Tajikistan, the implementation of projects “ Green Economy”, “Digital Economy”, the creation of “Technology Parks”, “Digital Technologies”, “Hydroelectric Power Stations” and the introduction of the “Electronic Commerce” system.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the participating countries expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the issues noted.
